Mechanical Primary Seal
The TS - 1 from TankServ is a shoe type mechanical primary seal for welded tank shells. This type of primary seal is probably the most widely used on floating roof tanks and is normally used for a nominal rim gap of 8” (200mm) although it can be used with wider rim gaps. It is robust and has a good service record extending over many years.
